RECYCLED MATERIALS
Our paddle strops are hand made by Dan, who also makes our chopping boards. They are constructed in small batches using offcuts of Billy Tannery Parkland Deer leather from producing our knife blocks and American Black Walnut offcuts from our Hare chopping boards. This way we minimise our waste and environmental impact and can use highest quality materials that wouldn’t normally be economical.

HOW TO USE
Use after a fine whetstone (#3k or #4k) to make already sharp knives ‘shaving sharp’. Spread a little metal polish on one side to give an #8000 grit polishing surface. Use light pressure and increase your sharpening angle a few degrees to make sure you’re sharpening the point of the edge. Do 10 strokes on each side, alternating. Then turn the strop over and finish in the same way with bare leather. Use regularly to maintain your shaving-sharp edge. Watch the film.
